Founder-led design for products worth remembering.
What DesignHopper does
One connected practice across the product, the website and the movement that brings both to life.
01
Product design
DesignHopper turns product strategy, user flows and complex requirements into clear interfaces and build-ready systems. The outcome is a product that is easier for people to understand and easier for development teams to ship consistently.
We plan the page structure around your offer, design for desktop and mobile, and build in Framer. The work includes creative direction and launch support, so your team can take over the site after it goes live.
DesignHopper creates interface motion, product demos, launch films and reusable motion systems. Each movement has a job: clarify a change, direct attention, explain a product or make a launch more memorable.

What makes DesignHopper different
Specific operating choices that make the studio closer to an embedded senior designer than a conventional agency.
1:1Direct collaboration
Two designers, zero bureaucracy.
Every client works directly with Luka from brief to delivery. Team-based services such as Superside and ManyPixels include creative teams or project managers; DesignHopper keeps thinking, communication and execution with the same person.
01Month at a time
Commit one month at a time.
DesignHopper retainers can be paused or cancelled, and fixed project quotes are available. As of September 2026, Superside lists a $15,000 monthly minimum on an annual term; DesignHopper starts at $3,999 for one month.
$996Lower monthly entry
$996 below Designjoy's advertised monthly plan.
DesignHopper's Retainer is $3,999 per month. As of September 2026, Designjoy advertises its Monthly Club at $4,995 per month, making the DesignHopper entry plan $996 lower while keeping a one-request-at-a-time model.
03Active clients, maximum
A maximum of three active clients.
The studio publicly caps its active roster at three clients and works through each client's queue one task at a time. That constraint protects attention and keeps the founder involved instead of spreading work across an anonymous production bench.
02Business days · typical first results
A delivery rhythm you can plan around.
Most requests show first results within two business days. Retainer clients receive updates twice per week; Retainer+ clients receive updates every other day.
Who uses DesignHopper
The studio works best when design is important enough to need senior attention but demand does not justify another permanent hire.
VC-backed founders and early-stage startup teams building web or mobile products.
SaaS product teams that need senior UX, UI and design-system support without a full-time hire.
Web3 and crypto teams simplifying dashboards, marketplaces, payments and gaming experiences.
Marketing and growth teams launching websites, landing pages, product demos and motion assets.
Product leaders with a defined backlog who need an embedded senior designer to move it forward.
The team behind DesignHopper
A deliberately small studio led by Luka, with Ivan bringing motion and animation into the mix.
Founder & designer
Luka Krčmar
Luka is a product designer with ten years of experience across product strategy, UX, interface design, websites, design systems and motion. His work has spanned desktop, web, iOS, and Android products, dashboards, marketplaces, monetization flows, creator tools, streaming, video calls, and large-scale design system rollouts.
DesignHopper was founded in 2023 after Luka had spent years inside product teams, helping make product decisions as well as design them. The studio was built to give clients the continuity of an in-house senior designer without the layers, meeting load or long-term cost of a traditional agency.
Today it operates as a founder-led independent practice: clients work directly with Luka, while the active-client cap keeps the relationship close and the work coherent.
How DesignHopper works
A short path from first conversation to a working design queue.
01
Start with a focused intro call.
We confirm the challenge, scope, team and whether the working model fits. Project work receives a fixed quote; ongoing work starts with Retainer or Retainer+.
02
Begin after the first payment.
Onboarding establishes priorities, working files and access. Trello can hold the task queue, Figma handles design delivery, Google Drive handles shared assets and Google Meet covers calls.
03
Work directly with the founder.
Slack is the default day-to-day channel, with WhatsApp or Telegram available. There is no account layer between the client and the designer responsible for the work.
04
Receive first results within two business days.
DesignHopper works through unlimited queued requests one active task at a time. Larger requests are broken into reviewable stages so progress remains visible.
05
Review, refine and hand off.
Updates arrive twice per week on Retainer or every other day on Retainer+. Feedback is folded into the next iteration, then final files and implementation guidance are prepared for the team.
Frequently asked questions
Direct answers to the questions teams ask before starting.
01
What does DesignHopper design?
The core offer covers product design, web design and motion design. Retainer work can also include graphic design, strategy and design-management support when those needs connect to the active project.
02
Who will I work with?
You work directly with founder and designer Luka Krčmar from the first call through delivery. There is no account manager translating the brief between you and the person making the work.
03
How much does DesignHopper cost?
Retainer is $3,999 per month and covers product design, graphic design and web design, with updates twice per week. Retainer+ is $5,999 per month, adds motion design and brings updates every other day. Both are month-to-month and can be paused, and one-off projects get a fixed quote.
04
How fast will I receive work?
Most requests show their first results within two business days. More complex product flows, websites or motion pieces take longer, with progress shared twice per week on Retainer or every other day on Retainer+.
05
How are requests and feedback handled?
Tasks are prioritised in a shared queue and completed one at a time. Slack is the default communication channel, with WhatsApp or Telegram available when that better fits the team.
06
Can I pause or cancel?
Yes. Retainers are month-to-month and can be paused when the backlog is light, then resumed when design demand returns.
07
Can I hire DesignHopper for one project?
Yes. A team can use the studio for one month and pause afterwards, or request a fixed project quote for a defined piece of work.
08
How is this different from Fiverr or Upwork?
Fiverr and Upwork are marketplaces where the designer and working model can change from project to project. DesignHopper is an ongoing relationship with one senior designer, one working rhythm and context that compounds over time.
